The Restoration and Development Appeal

HRH The Princess Royal
Patron of the Appeal

Boston Stump is not only one of the great landmarks of Lincolnshire, it is also one of the great churches of England. It has stood for seven centuries at the heart of the town and its people. We hope that the success of this Appeal will secure its future, not only for Boston, but for the whole nation and for generations to come.

We want to make the church come alive for all who visit us, so they can appreciate its history, culture and spiritual dimensions.

To do this we have developed exciting and ambitious plans. We need to improve our facilities for worshippers and visitors, explain our heritage and history and put in place the financial resources for the continuation of the conservation and restoration plan.

All this so future generations can come and enjoy the experience that is Boston Stump.

WHAT WE WANT TO DO
Improve the refreshment and shop facilities
Provide for new toilets and vergers' accommodation
Upgrade office accommodation for administrative and volunteer staff
Provide the financial resources to fund the on-going programme of conservation and repairs
Free up space within the Church for future needs
Improve the visitor information, signage and interpretation
To achieve this we need to raise £3,000,000

This is a major challenge but with your help and support we believe it is achievable. Total raised to date March 2007 £300,000

Please give as much as you can.
