There will be two services at St Botolph's (The Stump) on Sunday, 15 December at 8.00am and 10.30am. The services will take place in the chancel and all are welcome to attend. The BBC Carol Service will still take place. Cententary Methodist Church in Red Lion has offered their building for the service and recording.
"The worship of God goes on" and this ancient holy place will continue to function as a place of prayer amidst the rebuilding work. We are looking to holding a service of renewal and hope in a week or so when the immediate flood damage work across the town is starting to show results.
There has been damage to the shop, cafe, parish office. Watch this space for details on opening hours. The recovery team expect to be with us for a period of weeks rather than months.
We have been visited by MP Mark Simmonds, joined by the Secretary of State for the Environment plus the Director of the Environment Agency.
Wednesday and Saturday Eucharist services have been temporarily suspended.
